Training sessions!! We'll be running drop in sessions throughout the semester on a whole variety of subjects, starting with 'How to Research', Using e-resources and in depth instructions on using the main databases. You can have a look at the October timetable on the UEL Business wiki or on the library pages.
If there are any sessions you want to happen, let me know and I'll organise it for you. And if you just can't wait then come and ask me for help!

First Day of Term
Blimey, it's busy in the library! The first day of term has come round with a bang again and suddenly woken us all up after the quiet of the Summer months.
Well done to all of those who are starting at UEL this year - and welcome back to the rest of you! Now we're back into the new year I should (in theory) be updating the blog more. To start you all off, there are going to be walking tours of the library within your induction week, so make sure you come along and see where everything is - I promise it'll be no more than 15 minutes out of your day.
Coming up, there are going to be sessions showing you all the resources that will be useful to you when you're researching essays. Databases like EBSCO and ABI Inform and learning how to use Boolean search logic. If you didn't understand a word of that, sign up for a session! Dates and times coming soon....
We're open 24 hours again from next Monday and I'll be here late next Tuesday so pop in and point and stare at the strange librarian behind the desk.
